kal’s valley · help and contact
kal’s valley is a small, calm game about a valley that runs on sunlight. walk about, meet your neighbours, help pip the robot get the drones ready, and stay up for the evening show. there are no accounts, ads or purchases.
getting in touch
for anything at all, a bug, a question, or something that looks wrong: me@vijay.io. it helps to say which device you’re playing on and what you were doing when it happened.
how to play
- on an iphone or ipad: use the left side of the screen to walk, drag elsewhere to look around, and tap the hand button to use or talk to something (some things want it held). a game controller works too.
- on a mac or in a browser: walk with w a s d or the arrow keys, look with the mouse, and press e to use things.
- pip floats ahead of you and points the way to what to do next. the pause menu shows what the valley still needs before the show.
- the full controls are in the game, under settings and how to play.
if you get stuck
if you’re ever caught somewhere you can’t walk out of, open the pause menu and choose get unstuck. it puts you back on open ground nearby without losing anything.
your save
the game saves as you play, on your own device. deleting the app (or clearing the browser’s site data, on the web) removes the save. saves aren’t uploaded or shared between devices.
devices
- iphone and ipad: ios or ipados 17 or later.
- mac: macos 14 or later on apple silicon (an intel mac can play the browser version, or the intel download on the home page).
- browser: a recent chrome, safari, edge or firefox at kalsvalley.com/play.
privacy
the game keeps your game on your device and sends only an anonymous report of how loading went. the details are on the privacy page.
